Steps to change Orbi Admin Login password via orbilogin.com:
- Open a web browser on your internet enabled computer or mobile device which is connected to the Orbi network.
- On the URL/ address bar enter http://orbilogin.com or its default IP address http://192.168.1.1.
- A login window will open.
- You need to enter the user credentials i.e. username and password. Then click the Log In button.
Note: The default username of Orbi WiFi is admin and the default password is password. Both the username and password are lower case characters. - The Basic HOMEPAGE / User Interface will open.
- Click ADVANCED > then Administration > Set the new Password.
- A page for Set Password will display.
- Follow the instructions to Complete the fields and click APPLY.
Note: Your settings will be saved by clicking apply.
Recover Netgear Orbi WiFi System’s admin password:
- Open a web browser on your internet enabled computer or mobile device which is connected to the Orbi network.
- On the URL/ address bar enter http://orbilogin.com or its default IP address http://192.168.1.1.
- A login window will open.
- Click on to the Cancel button.
Note: You will be prompted to enter the Orbi serial number if password recovery is enabled, the serial number will be available on the Orbi router.
Note: Refer to Netgear Orbi’s product label for serial number. - Once found, enter that serial number and click on the Continue button to proceed.
- A window will open asking your security questions.
- You need to answer all security questions correctly and click the Continue button.
- A window will open to show your recovered password.
- Click the Log In button again. A login window will open.
- Now that you have the recovered password. Login to the Netgear rOrbi Router.
Know your Orbi system’s WiFi network name (SSID) and password and Change it using the router web interface:

- On the URL/ address bar enter http://orbilogin.com or its default IP address http://192.168.1.1.
- A login window will open.
- You need to enter the user credentials i.e. username and password. Then click the Log In button.

- You can see here your network name (SSID), to change it type a new name in the Name (SSID) field.
- Same as above, to change the password type a new password in the Password (Network Key) field.
- Click on the Apply button. Your settings will be saved.
Note: In case you have changed the network name (SSID) or password, to access the internet you might need to reconnect your devices to your Orbi’s network.
