Orbi AC2200 Router login troubleshooting guide

  5. Now you are on the web interface of your router. Go to the support site of your router. 
  6. And then, search for the most recent firmware version. Type the model number of your device and
  7. Download the firmware file. Save the file on your computer. First, you need to unzip the file from any tool you have. 
  8. Because, you cannot use a zip file to upload, after unzipping the firmware file, save it to a local destination.

Netgear Orbi setup wireless routers can support different 802.11 standards to provide many distinct radio frequency ranges or bands for the WIFI communication between your devices. Each wireless band can split into multiple channels. If your Orbi setup router supports multiple bands like 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, then you can set these wireless frequencies according to your requirement. You have to download and install NetSpot applications from the web browser.

  1. Launch the NetSpot application to activate “Discover mode.”
  2. Let the application collect information about the available WIFI networks in your surroundings as an interactive table.
  3. Now, you have to tap the “Channels 2.4 GHz” header to see if your Wi-Fi channels are overlapping.
  4. Look for the wireless channel having the least number of networks present on it.
  5. If you want to select a wireless channel in the 2.4 GHz band, you need to choose channels 1, 6, or 11.
  6. These are non-overlapping wireless channels, and they overlap with one another.

2.4 GHz is the commonly used wireless band. And that is why it is very crowded. 5 GHz is a less common band and tends to be less crowded, making it the first choice for densely populated urban areas where the WIFI networks are in massive concentrations.

Add satellites to your Netgear Orbi setup AC2200 router

Have you just purchased a new Netgear Orbi setup AC2200 router? Or have you reset your existing NETGEAR Orbi AC2200 WIFI router to its default factory settings? Then you need to add the satellites again to your Orbilogin.net home network. 1. 

  1. Go to the play store of your device, search, find, and download the app.
  2. Then you should install the app. After installing the app, click it to start the app and proceed to create an Orbi account.
  3. The app will request you to get access to your mobile camera. 
  4. So, you can scan the QR code given on the back of your NETGEAR WIFI router unit.
  5. After you finish the scanning of the QR code, the app will give you some instructions.
  6. Follow the instructions to continue with the NETGEAR router setup process. 
  7. In the first step, you will be asked to connect your internet modem to your NETGEAR MESH wifi router unit. 
  8. This connection is required to hook the Ethernet cable to the yellow internet port of your router to the yellow internet port of your modem. 
  9. Then you should power on the router unit, then the modem unit. 
  10. Now power on your satellite devices, and wait for a while to auto-synchronize the devices to your WIFI router. 

The blinking LED colour on your satellite should be Solid Blue. In case the sync process is successful, then the LED orbi light Colour will remain solid blue. Else it will turn magenta. Now your Orbi mobile app will instruct you to get connected to the Orbilogin.net wifi network. Follow the instructions provided by the app and finish the installation.
